Content and licences

Nearly everything you read and hear in Scroll by Heart is public domain, which means it belongs to everyone. This page says exactly what we used and under what licence.

The Bible text

• World English Bible. Public domain. Every narrated word in the app is this translation, from the edition published by ebible.org.
• King James Version. Public domain.
• American Standard Version. Public domain.

Study material

• Strong's dictionaries, 1890. Public domain.
• Treasury of Scripture Knowledge cross references. Public domain, in a curated edition from CrossReferences.org, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence.

The narration

Narration is produced with text to speech from Fish Audio, using a licensed library voice under a paid plan that permits commercial use. It is not a clone of any real person's voice.

The images

Scene images are generated from text prompts by an image model. They are scenic and figurative and contain no faces. We claim no copyright in the generated images themselves.

Everything else

The narration recordings, the app, its design, its software, its data, and all text other than scripture are owned by Loch Partners LLC.

Who we are not

Loch Partners LLC is not a church, not a denomination, and not affiliated with any Bible society or publisher.
